Casino of Love: A Poem of Heartbreak and Hope

Casino of Love: A Poem of Heartbreak and Hope

In the dim light of the gambling hall,

My aching heart makes the softest call,

Betting on love, I played my part,

Now I’m folding with a broken heart.

Sadness in the dealer’s eyes, I see my loss,

Love’s a game, they say, with such a cruel cost,

I placed my bet on us, a hopeful dream,

Now it’s just echoes and a silent scream.

Roulette wheels spin, just like our days,

Lost in the whirl, love’s mysterious ways,

Your smile was my winning streak,

But now it’s just the comfort that I seek.

In every shuffle, every dealt hand,

I search for signs that I can understand,

The odds were slim, but I had to try,

Now all I’ve got are these chips to buy,

Another round, another try.

Sadness in the dealer’s eyes, I see my loss,

Love’s a game, they say, with such a cruel cost,

I gambled all, on a queen of hearts,

Now I’m just playing with broken parts.

The dice will roll, the cards will fall,

In this silent room, I gave it all,

Your love was the jackpot I craved,

Now I’m just counting the cost I’ve paid.

The felt is green, but my luck is red,

Haunted by all the things we left unsaid,

I’m betting on memories, a fading trace,

In the house of love, I’ve lost my place.

Sadness in the dealer’s eyes, I see my loss,

Love’s a game, they say, with such a cruel cost,

Now the table’s clear, the game is done,

In the casino of love, the house has won.

So I’ll cash in my chips, head for the door,

Leaving behind the life I had before,

In the grand casino of love and fate,

I’ll leave my sadness, and for love, I’ll wait.
